Public Transportation

This post took quite some time to write because I had an awesome weekend, followed by awesome days. Last Saturday, my best friend, Luqman and I, took the KTM/LRT to KLCC! You can say it was a last minute thing to get a taste of our terrible public transportation before I leave (or more like to save on petrol lol #cheapskate). We didn't even know why we wanted to go to KLCC!! Pointless, I tell you.. We walked around, I showed him the stuff I wanted to get (dropped so many hints!) and had dinner at Ben's. Service was quite bad because some of the staff couldn't speak English and there was one dude who was kind of rude. We never let things like these bug us though! Both of us having to work in F&B before, we know what it's like. After dinner, we just chilled at Starbucks. Surprisingly there were not that many people as I expected. We left around almost 10 and reached Subang at 11, I think. It's really hard to not laugh in the KTM. I'd like to apologize to the hipster who was standing behind me, since I kept stepping on his shoes. Also, they should prepare deodorant at every entrance door. Where can I fill in a suggestion form?

The next day I had early dinner with my family and late dinner with the bunch at Pirate, Uptown Damansara. Food was meh for me, nothing special. Ended the night at Darus as usual.

SO! The past few days have been great for me because I received my CoE, applied for my visa, went for my medical checkup and visa approved this morning! Everything was done really quick and efficient. Reasons why I love it there. My flight's booked and I need to look for accommodation  (which I have found 4!) and I'm all set to go. A few things here and there but most importantly, a laptop please Ma and Pa!! Hehehe. I am so excited but at the same time, I'm going to miss it here. Not going to get into it so much but watch this space!

Hot hot heat

Am I the only person melting in this weather?! Malaysia Y U SO HOT?? I've been up to nothing these past few days except trying to sell most of my clothes off! Please refer to the sidebar for a link to my page :) Other than that, today marks 3 months since the boyfriend left. I can't decide whether time's moving too fast or I'm way too slow. Can't deny that there are days where I miss him so much but 90 DAYS HAVE GONE BY! (Time is definitely moving too fast..) Which is a good thing because I can't wait to see him! Trying to get some things done and a lot will be coming my way, hopefully, in a positive way. Have a nice weekend!

Taufiq turns 22!

Hello there! I know the last post was different, energy really shifted. Anyway, in time, everything will heal right? I hope so. So, one of my closest friends, Taufiq, turned 22 on the 11th! We wanted to do something special and different because we are so ice-cream-cake-at-the-mamak or cake-sense-cake-surprise-at-the-playground kind of people. I know I know, most of the boys are 22 (you'd think they'd be better at this but na uh, they're boys :p), but birthdays are not our forte. Since most of the gang are scattered across the globe, we kept it simple and low key. We were at our fav local mamak (kind of like how McLarens is in HIMYM!) on the day itself so we planned a dinner for Taufiq. On Saturday, all of us got together and had a quiet dinner in Delicious, Bangsar. Here are some pictures!

I definitely look like I've put on tons of weight.. Anyways, it was all good. Food's good but they were being kinda mean with me when I called that morning to make reservations. The person on the line actually asked me if I could come earlier, etc.  Banyak songeh pulak, I wonder who's the customer. Totally made up with the service (cute waiter did not hurt my eyes) and it's always nice to have good food with good company. Headed to La Bodega afterwards and camera died on me. Or should I say cameraman got totally distracted? Haha. I had a nice night and I'm sure the birthday boy did too ;)

Unplanned

I had a bunch of topics I wanted to write about and I was even prepared but sometimes other things happen and you can't change anything about it. Especially when it's something bad.

And I know this might sound dramatic because I've never even met her but I can't stop tearing up and there's a lump in my throat that I can't seem to swallow but I wish I did have the chance to meet her. I wish I met this amazing woman who raised such an amazing grandson and her huge lovable, full of life family. I feel so blessed to have these people in a part of my life and how I wish even more that I could take all their pain away. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to deal with death, and it's killing me.

Al-Fatihah to his family. She will always be in my prayers.

Shopping 2012

Since I'm not really committed to anything for now, I always find time to do some online 'browsing'/window shopping. EVERY GIRL WHO READS THIS WILL KNOW THAT THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE. Especially when you're broke, because you start chucking stuff into your cart, adding tons of links on your bookmark list.. You're already spending waaay more than what you have or WILL have in my case -_-

Anyway, I received my college deposit and asked permission from my father if I could use it. He was awfully sweet about it since he's been noticing me salivating over clothes every day, so he said yes! Combined with the money I've been making over my bracelet empire (lol), I managed to snag a few items. Still want so much more but one must not be greedy or one will be eating sand for the rest of the month and getting lectures from one's boyfriend.

The first top is a top from uglyducklingcloset for a DIY project which I added metal tips to the corners of the shirt. Second & third tops are normal every day under-the-blazer tops. Fourth is a pair of the Leigh super soft skinnies from Topshop because they are love, extremely soft and I need to give my leggings a break (MNG leggings are luxe!). Fifth is a pair of high waisted white shorts with fake gold zippers from ZARA and they are my favorite purchase for now (and I am actually thinking of getting another pair in dark blue) and the sixth item is this gorgeous bandage dress from Topshop. Love it! I also got bandage skirts from Cotton On, tights from Topshop and four pairs of socks. They didn't let me get only one.

*photos above do not belong to me*

Anyway, below are stuff my friends overseas are helping me get. There are two brands that are so difficult for me to get which is Primark over in the UK and also Johnny Cupcakes in the US. Photos were taken with my friend's phone. We were communicating via DM on Twitter and email ok :p Much love to him for taking the effort and time to get them for me in Manchester!! Yes, my friend is a male and he sanggup shopped for me at Primark (I've heard how crazy it gets!) so I definitely owe him. Then I have another friend over in London, getting me stuff......... No pictures for that! Shoes were 6 pounds and these basic shirts with gold buttons were 10 pounds each. Not bad, not bad.

Then there's Johnny Cupcakes. The story behind this brand is that I stumbled upon it ages ago and fell in love with the brand and the story behind it. Shipping prices are a !@#$%^&* but my best friend is currently studying in Tampa so he managed to get them for me. He ordered the cap online and it's with him now so I can't wait for him to come back!! Honestly Ameen, that's why I dragged you into ADTP with me... just kidding! It's quite expensive but what are best friends for hehehehehe.

So, that's about it, I guess. I need to get maybe a pair of sandals or flats, a few basic tees and tanks in diff colours and the perfect black cardigan. Then I'm done. I swear. ;) More pictures next time!

P/S: I have a new system now. I won't cut the tags off the clothes until I wear them, so I can keep track. I keep wearing the same thing over and over again so I hope by doing it this way, none of my clothes will be left out!
